Straight load

Thank you for the train
Though it hauls nothing but naked stems
And the trails of human wanderings
And the scent of stripped bark
The rail cleans crisp
And the lumbering loads move on
The trail burns cold
Orange, like the blood
Of a little city at night
Though I can't condone
The creature contempt to kill for comfort
I Thank you for the trails
